Hey friends, I want to testify to Jesus’ restoration of my mind and memory.
Last year, I heard voices in my head which was very distracting. It made it hard for me to be productive and get things done. The voices took on the personalities of persons that I highly esteem which made it even harder to ignore.
Immediately, I knew that the way to fight it was by faith, by beholding Jesus on the cross.
Even though I was seeing a psychiatrist and taking medication, I knew deep down in my heart that the restoration was through the rhema Word of Christ.
So with my parents, I read the Bible every night. The passages in the Bible plan, Psalm 1, 23, and 91, as well as the Proverb of the day.
I also meditated on Jesus sweating drops of blood, and wearing the crown of thorns for me. He bore this curse of dark thoughts and voices for me already. Personal revelation: kings of the world wear crowns of gold. But my KING wore the crown of thorns for me to take away the curse of these dark thoughts and voices for me!!!
Besides attending Sunday services, I would also set aside one day in the week to spend time with Jesus in His Word alone at a cafe—be it reading passages or Christian books that I want to read. I’ve finished How to Read the Bible, and Destined to Reign 15th Anniversary Edition. Now Re-reading Battlefield of the Mind by Joyce Meyer.
Also, when the thoughts come, I’ll meditate on Psalm 23, the only psalm I can remember and pray in tongues.
Anyway, fast forward to today, and I say that the voices are gone! Not only that, but my memory is almost restored too!
Even the psychiatrist is looking to extend my visit duration!
